If your child is interested in hockey at Journey, then please visit the Hockey page for information, updates and photos. You will also find application forms and an updated bursary application form for students who wish to pursue hockey at JMS.
Be sure to check out EMCS, the High School's, open house Monday night from 7 to 9. EMCS's counsellors visited Journey last week to discuss course selections with the students. The counsellors distributed Course Request Forms and 2012/2013 Course Booklets. These forms are due back to school on Wednesday and require a parent signature.
Students who have exceptional needs are included in transition activities with their peers, but are also involved in additional transition activities that address their particular needs; visit our Transitions page for more information on this process.
John Muir Elementary and Port Renfrew Elementary will be visiting our school on Thursday. Be sure to give them a real Journey welcome.

The pilot year was very successful for the Journey Hockey Academy. The Academy is now accepting applications for the 2012/2013 season. For more information and applications, visit the Hockey Academy page.
Well, our grade 8s are growing up and preparations are under way for their move up to high school next year. EMCS counsellors will be visiting our students with information regarding courses and course selection this Tuesday and next Tuesday. Parents are invited to the February 20th Open House at EMCS to explore the high school's programs.
Be sure to wave hello to the grade 5s from Saseenos Elementary on Thursday afternoon. They will be touring the school with our "Future Journey Dragons" leaders during Exploratories.
This Friday is a Professional Development day for teachers so there will be no school for students on the 17th. Teachers will be attending a variety of workshops and pursuing individual studies to better their practice in the classroom.

The Journey Band is raising funds through a bottle drive on February 25th. Keep all those Super Bowl empties and donate them to a good cause.
