We opened our new extension and new field in September. With four new classrooms we were able to accommodate many new faces this year, as well as returning students. We have 66 new kindergarten children enrolled and 75 students in Grades 1 – 6 who have come to us from around the globe. Our current school population is 425 students. We have 17 divisions, 23 teachers and 6 itinerant teachers.

This year is off to a flying start with many activities and events on the calendar. Please read our monthly newsletters for all of the details, dates and times of the goings on. In our effort to lessen our carbon footprint, we are distributing our newsletter by email this year. If email is not an option for you, please let us know in the office and we can provide your child with a hard copy of our news.

Throughout the past few years we have welcomed families into our school from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. We will celebrate the richness these many cultures bring to our school, through a variety of activities. Several languages are spoken in our families’ homes including; Russian, Hindi, Punjabi, Chinese, Polish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Farsi, and French. In total we have about 8% of our population from a variety of cultures.

It is important for you to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss your child as a learner – their successes, challenges and goals. Children achieve great things when they feel valued and understand their parents and teachers are working together to improve their learning.

Check out our newsletter on this website for more details about our school.

Here’s to a great year,
