Dear Kindergarten Parents and Guardians,
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow, Friday, February 24th, our class will be celebrating our 100th day of school. We have several activities planned and we are looking forward to this special day.
For our 100th day celebration, please help your child bring a collection of 100 things to school in a clear zip-lock bag if possible. Please put your child's name on the bag. They will bring the items home again. It would be fun and helpful if you could involve your child in the counting of the 100 items. It will be good practice for 100 Day!
Suggestions for items include: pennies, macaroni, paper clips, raisins, rice puffs, cheerios, pegs, marbles, toothpicks, popcorn, beans, buttons, beads, Lego, coffee beans, sunflower seeds, Q-tips, twist-ties, bread bag clips, cotton balls, mini-marshmallows, pine cones, stamps, hockey cards, bottle caps, small toy cars, bolts or any suitable small item of your choice. Please note that we will be placing the items on the floor to see how long our collections are. We will also weigh our items to see who has the lightest and who has the heaviest collection.
Parents are welcome to stay and help with our special activities from 8:45 until recess. Happy counting!
