2012 STUDENT REGISTRATION
Kindergarten
Children born in 2007 can begin school in September 2012. Please register at your neighborhood school during registration week, January 30 – February 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please bring proof of age & residence.
For French Immersion:
If you live in the Belmont Zone, register at École John Stubbs Memorial School
If you live in the Milne’s Landing Zone, register at École Poirier Elementary School.
French Immersion Parent Information Night is January 26 at 7:00 p.m. at both locations.
Nature Kindergarten
The Nature Kindergarten pilot program will be held at Sangster Elementary School, and is open to all Kindergarten students District-wide. In order to apply, parents need to attend an information session on:
• Saturday January 14, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
-OR-
• Thursday January 19, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Both information sessions take place at Sangster Elementary.
Nature Kindergarten Applications will be accepted starting Monday, February 6 at the Sooke School Board Office.
Late French Immersion (Grade 6)
Students may begin the Late French Immersion program in Grade 6 without having French language experience.
Registration is by first-come basis and takes place at École John Stubbs Memorial School. No early registration.
Parent Information Night is February 2 at 7:00 p.m. at John Stubbs.
Please Bring:
• Proof of Age
• Proof of Residence
Student registration takes place at your local Neighborhood school.
New French Immersion
(Grade 1) register at either:
École John Stubbs Memorial School OR École Poirier Elementary School.
Late French Immersion
(Grade 6) register at: École John Stubbs Memorial School.
Please Note: Registration after these dates will be subject to space availability in each school.
