Virtue of the Week: Reliabililty
Just a reminder to students about Spencer's NO HAT and NO BACKPACK rule for the hallfways and classrooms. Be a good citizen of Spencer and when you arrive at school put these items in your locker to help keep our school a safe place.
Please see below the request from our DryGrad and Prom committee for parent volunteers. Due to actions taken by the BC Teacher Federation our teachers are unable to volunteer their time this year and we have had no option except to cancel both the scholarship evening and the awards evening at Belmont. We are however, running our two Grad Ceremonies and will be incorporating the scholarship presentations into those ceremonies. At this point we are financially committed to running the Prom/DryGrad but without parent help we are not able to run the event to its full potential. Please consider the message from the committee. Our 2012 Grad Class thanks you!
Sincerely,
Carl Repp- Belmont Principal
Belmont Prom is rapidly approaching, less than a month to go. We have nearly 500 grads this year but less than 30 parents have expressed an interest in working the night of the big party! We need you!
Saturday June 9th, 6pm - 6am
Grade 10 & 11 parents are encouraged to volunteer. It is a great opportunity to see what is in store for your child. Ask a friend to join you, there are lots of positions available.
