The payroll department processes pay for Teachers, CUPE, Principals/Vice Principals, Teachers on Call, and Excluded employees. The district employs over 1,750 staff with a total annual payroll and benefit cost of $94M.
Payroll Schedule
All employees have their pay deposited directly into their bank accounts on payday.
Teachers on Call (TOC)
TOC employees are paid biweekly on Friday with a one-week hold back (Payroll cutoff is the Friday before payday). This group is paid using the Absence Dispatch System, when a TOC accepts a call the payroll data is automatically recorded and transferred for payment.
CUPE Support
CUPE Support employees are paid biweekly on Friday with a one-week hold back (Payroll cutoff is the Friday before payday). CUPE Support employee’s enter their own hours into Timesheet Entry Web where it is then approved by the manager and transferred to payroll.
CUPE Casual
CUPE Casual employees are paid biweekly on Friday with a one-week hold back (Payroll cutoff is the Friday before payday). CUPE Casual employees hours are submitted weekly to payroll by the location/department.
Principals and Vice Principals (PVP’s)
PVP’s are paid biweekly on Friday with no holdback.
Excluded
Excluded employees are paid biweekly on Friday with no holdback.
