Student Emergency Release Form
Resources:
- Letter to Parents/Guardians on Emergency Preparedness
- Advice for Parents/Guardians on School Emergencies
At the start of every school year, students are sent home with a paper copy of the Student Emergency Release Form. It will also be sent home with new students when they arrive at school. It is critical to fill out this form with accurate information and return the physical copy to the school. We keep physical copies in case of emergency.
It is your responsibility to keep the information on these forms current. If you believe your current form is outdated, please download a new copy and bring it to the school or visit the school and fill out a new one.
Student Emergency Release Form
In the Event of an Actual Emergency
For everyone’s safety:
Do not call or go to the school. Phone lines and entrances must remain clear for emergency responders.
Do not text or call your child’s mobile device. Rely on district communication channels for accurate updates. This allows your child to stay focused on staff instructions and follow the safety protocols they have practiced for emergencies.
If you are already on-site, follow staff directions and respect protocols. Following protocols and staff instructions helps keep everyone safe.
Updates will be provided through email, our district website, and our Facebook and X pages when it is safe and appropriate to do so.
Safety Drills
Each school year, the following are conducted at each location:
2 Lockdown Drills
3 Earthquake Drills
6 Fire Drills
Drills are presented in a way appropriate to each student’s developmental level.
