REQUEST FOR ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

Freedom of Information Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Province of British Columbia (gov.bc.ca)
You may make a request for access to records without using this form, provided you do so in writing. Including the information requested on this form will help us respond to your request faster.

Understand the limitation of FOI requests

FOI is not a process to request or obtain answers to questions or information that is not contained in public body records. Those questions should be submitted directly to the applicable department, outside of the FOI process.

The appropriate department that you believe holds the record(s) you’re looking for is often a faster and easier way to get the information you need.

While we require all the information listed below in the request for information, you are welcome to email us with any questions you may have.

Where do you believe the requested records are held?
