The Board of Education of the Sooke School District extends its sincere condolences on the passing of Lillian Szpak, a dedicated councillor for the City of Langford and a committed advocate for her community.
Councillor Szpak’s more than two decades of leadership and public service helped shape a growing municipality. Her work touched many aspects of community life, including the well-being of children, youth, and families, and she was a strong supporter of initiatives that benefit students and school communities.
We recognize her contributions to building a community where students can learn, grow, and thrive. Her legacy of service and care will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
