Celebrating SD62 Bus Drivers

Date

Dear SD62 Bus Drivers,

Today, we celebrate you! Your determination and commitment to your precious cargo of students is incredible. Your willingness to adapt swiftly to never-ending health and safety changes, your smiles as you greet children each morning and your records of safe driving make everyone in our district and community very proud.

This year has been like no other. Huge health and safety changes were made in the Transportation department, and you just rolled with them, adapted and succeeded. You are a frontline essential worker, and we could not be prouder to have such determined people alongside us in this journey.

As the first and last SD62 employee that students see each day, your role in representing the school district is important. There’s no one we would rather have driving our students every day. Thank you for making the connections with students and their families; it’s a big comfort for everyone to know that the safety of students is paramount.

Today and every day, please enjoy the smiles of students and know that you are a very valued member of the SD62 team. Thank you for being an important part of a student’s educational experience. Have a wonderful day and remainder of the school year.

Sincerely,

Scott Stinson, Superintendent, on behalf of the SD62 staff

And

Ravi Parmar, Board Chair, on behalf of the SD62 Board of Education
