District Parents’ Advisory Councils are the legislated parent voice at the school district level, representing the collective views of school Parents’ Advisory Councils (PAC) in a school district.
DPACs advise the board of education on any matter relating to education in their school district. DPACs advocate for parental involvement in the education system and give input into the development of education policy. As an official stakeholder, the DPAC is offered seat(s) on district committees such as policy, finance or budget etc.
The Sooke Parents' Education Advisory Council (SPEAC) is our DPAC. We would like to that SPEAC along with the school PACs who volunteer their time to make their school, our district and public education better places for all.
We would like to thank this year's SPEAC Executive for their service as some notable volunteers will be leaving after years of service. Thank you to Melissa, Sandra, Michele and Paula for your years of dedication and service.
