Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to a brand new year at SD62 – we couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come. I hope your families were able to get some summer rest, restore balance and energize yourselves for an exciting new school year.
Whether your child is just beginning their school career with us or entering their final year of secondary school, we are so pleased to have them and you, in our district.
This year holds so much promise. We continue to look to our Strategic Plan for guidance, focusing on learning and engagement. District growth is also top of mind, with well over 11 thousand students at 27 schools and a forecast of increased enrolment for years to come! Planning is well underway for two new schools coming to West Langford so we can make the most of these opportunities to serve our dynamic and growing community.
District staff have been busy over the break ensuring our learning spaces are clean and safe – ready for learners of all ages and we thank them for working hard during the summer months.
