Victor Chen was a pillar of the Langford community and contributed greatly as Manager of Engineering for the City of Langford.  He mentored many young engineers throughout their careers and encouraged them to continually question designs and ask “will it work?” and “is it maintainable?”  He will best be remembered for Bear Mountain, Westhills, Colwood Corners, Langford and Westshore Parkways, Costco and most major engineering projects built in Langford between 1997 and 2017.     This scholarship will be awarded to a student planning to study engineering at a post-secondary institution in British Columbia.  

Selection criteria:
1)  “C+” average or better.
2)  participated in student government, clubs, school teams, and/or community activities
3)  displayed dedication and leadership in their service of school and/or community
4)  can demonstrate a positive impact on school and/or community through service
5)  planning to attend a post-secondary institution in British Columbia, studying engineering

Current application forms are usually available late February or early March and will be available on this page.
