VRBA will recognize the commitment to those learning the carpentry trade by awarding a deserving student with a $500 cheque to buy “the tools of the trade.” Students may apply for the Herman Rebneris Student Carpentry Award by completing the online form (see link). This award is open to students from Vancouver Island secondary schools with a Carpentry Program. Criteria: Registered within the past 12 months in a recognized Carpentry/Woodworking/Career Prep. Program. Good record of academic achievement. Each application must include teacher’s comments attached.
