Each secondary school in Canada is able to nominate ONE outstanding student as a Schulich Leader nominee. From this pool of nominees, 20 participating universities across Canada will choose their Schulich Leader Scholarship Recipients, each of whom will receive a four-year scholarship valued at $100,000 for math/science/technology degrees or $120,000 for engineering degrees.
Eligibility:
1) Academic excellence
2) Leadership, charisma, and creativity
3) Entrepreneurial-minded
4) Intending to pursue a career in one or more of the following areas: Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Business Enterprise, Applied Scientific Research
Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.
This scholarship is NOT for students who:
- focus on activism (environmental / political / societal)
- intend to pursue medicine or healthcare e.g. doctor, medical researcher, dentist, nurse, psychologist, pharmacist, optometrist, etc.
- intend to become a professor and conduct theoretical research
See your counsellor by December 15 if you would like to be considered for nomination. Our school must submit our nomination near the end of January.
