The Dave Ravenhill Memorial Scholarship Application

Applicants must have competed in at least one LVISSAA approved sport during Grade 12. They must be enrolled in a LVISSAA member school and will be entering their first year of full-time studies in a University or College. Applicants must have demonstrated exceptional athletic achievement, sportsmanship and integrity in a LVISSAA sport, have a minimum grade percentage of 75% and have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership skills in school and/or community. 

Two scholarships of $500 will be awarded to one male and one female student-athlete. The scholarship funds have been provided by the World Cup Festival Society. 

Applicants will be required to submit:

• A short essay on how school sport has impacted their school experience
• A list of LVISSAA sports they participated in
• Any academic and athletic achievements they have accomplished
• A letter of recommendation from a teacher or school coach
• Transcript

All applications must be submitted by the school Athletic Director to the Athletic Coordinator’s office via email. Schools can submit up to 4 applications (2 of each gender) each year.
