To apply for this bursary, you must be planning to attend a recognized post-secondary educational institution or a career/apprenticeship training program.
THE BURSARY
Each bursary will be awarded for:
- Tuition or fees and the purchase of books, tools, or supplies needed to pursue studies or training in an apprenticeship, trade, or career program.
- Tuition toward instruction at a recognized institution of post-secondary education or training.
The amount will be paid directly to the recipient following proof of registration, an acceptance letter at your post-secondary training/education institution and your course schedule. If the recipient withdraws from their program, the bursary monies will be returned to C.U.P.E. Local 459.
The Bursary must be used by January following graduation.
ELIGIBLITY
In order to qualify for the bursary, the applicant must:
- Must be relative of a CUPE 459 member and a graduating secondary school student. Special consideration may be given to applicants in need of financial assistance.
