Canadian Union of Public Employees Aubrey Burton / Reg Ford Memorial Scholarships

Applicants must: 
- be a child of a CUPE member 
- be completing Grade 12 in the current year or previous year
- be entering first year studies at a recognized post-secondary institution in BC.  A copy of the acceptance letter from the admitting institution must be provided.
 

Burger King Scholarships

Betty Spalton Scholarship Program

For students entering or continuing studies leading to a career in road building, road maintenance, or heavy construction.  (examples: civil engineering, heavy duty mechanic, ...)

Must be planning to attend full or part-time program at a BC college, university, or technical institute

BC School Trustees Association Student Citizenship Award

Each year, BCSTA selects graduating BC public school students who have displayed exemplary citizenship within their school and community.  

See BCSTA website for full details including application requirements, application form, and exact application deadline.  The updated application form is usually available in November.  Be sure to confirm the application deadline. (usually in February or early March)

BCGEU Student Scholarships

Applicant must be:
• A BCGEU member, or related to a current retired, or deceased BCGEU member or staff; and
• A student or prospective post-secondary or higher learning student enrolled, registered or planning to attend an eligible educational institution in the upcoming school year.

Eligible relatives include spouses, parents, and children or grandchildren (including foster, adopted and step children and grandchildren). 

BC Soccer Scholarship

BC Soccer Scholarships are awarded to successful applicants who, for three or more years, have played with a team affiliated with BC Soccer and/or someone who is currently participating in some capacity in soccer (player, referee, coach, or administrator). I

BC School Sports Scholarships

Updated application info and forms are usually posted on the BC School Sports website in January. 

The BC School Sports Scholarships reward excellence in both scholastic and athletic pursuits. The successful applicants will be student-athletes who have balanced their high academic achievements with significant success as school athletes and contributors to their community. 

A variety of scholarships are offered by BC School Sports.

BC Retired Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association Bursary

The British Columbia Retired Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association (BCRPVPA) will be awarding several bursaries/scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, to students who graduate from the BC public school system and who are continuing their education at an accredited post-secondary institution in British Columbia. (Students planning a “gap year” should apply in the year in which they enroll in a post-secondary program.)

BC Principals' and Vice-Principals' Association Scholarships

The BC Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association annually awards up to 20 scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, to students who are graduating from the BC public school system and will proceed to a post-secondary institution. 

All applicants will be assessed on academic excellence and demonstrated leadership within the school and community.
