2023 BC Adolescent Health Survey Results Released

The McCreary Centre Society unveiled the latest edition of the BC Adolescent Health Survey on February 21, 2024. Compiled from responses gathered in 2023, the survey represents the voices of 38,500 public school students spanning from Grade 7 to Grade 12.

The survey has been done every five years since 1992. It is instrumental in offering critical insights into the realms of mental health, alcohol and drug usage, sexual behavior, and various other issues affecting today's youth.

On February 28, 2024, SD62 staff gathered with student representatives for a dive into the data collected from the survey led by The McCreary Centre team. Joining them were representatives from nearly 100 community agencies and organizations, including The Village Initiative, Island Health, the RCMP, representatives from municipalities including Mayors and Councillors, and the CRD.
