The SD62 Board of Education invites you to attend or participate in their Education Committee of the Whole online public meeting next Tuesday. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the SD62 catchment proposals and hear from members of the public.
Thank you to everyone for your participation so far. At last night’s Resources Committee meeting, the Catchment consultation group recommended that the Board consider the following options:
- Adjust and accept the proposed school boundary changes:
- Feeder schools shift to their family of schools. Belmont Park (Ecole John Stubbs) would begin to transition to Royal Bay instead of Belmont.
- Gradual transition of Belmont Park families to Colwood Elementary.
- Leave the French Immersion program at Millstream Elementary.
The Purpose of ECOW is to allow the Board of Education an opportunity to review and discuss recommendations with no formal motions on the floor. The SD62 Board of Education is interested in hearing from members of the public as it considers its course of action regarding the catchment proposals.
Tuesday, December 8 at 6 p.m.
