This is an important announcement for families and caregivers of children who will attend Kindergarten beginning in September of 2020.
All SD62 elementary schools offer full day kindergarten for our youngest learners. To register, children must turn five years of age by December 31 in the same calendar year that they begin school.
French Immersion and Nature Kindergarten Registration will take place from January 13th to 17th, 2020 with General Kindergarten Registration open January 27th to 31st.
In the past all Kindergarten registration has taken place at the same time in SD 62 but this created challenges for parents and caregivers whose children did not get a spot in one of the specialized programs due to limited space and high demand.
Moving the registration dates for Nature Kindergarten and French Immersion Kindergarten to the earlier dates will allow those families ample time to participate in General Kindergarten Registration.
Registration dates are as follows:
January 13 – 17, 2020 – French Immersion Kindergarten & Nature Kindergarten
January 27 – 31, 2020 – General Kindergarten Registration
